सुवर्ण (Suwarna / Gold) | Aurum metallicum | Shuddha Suvarna, incinerated through Puta process as per Rasa Shastra |
Shodhana & Marana (Purification and Calcination Process)
Shodhana (Purification):
Suvarna is purified by quenching in Triphala Kashaya, Kanji, and Gomutra multiple times to remove impurities and soften the metal.
Marana (Incineration):
The purified gold is levigated with Nimbu Swarasa or Kumari Swarasa and subjected to repeated Puta-pakva (calcination) cycles until a fine, bright red powder (Suvarna Bhasma) is obtained.
This process ensures nano-sized particles that are non-toxic, bioavailable, and Rasayana-active.
