Gorakhmundi is also called "Mundi" in Hindi. It's a flowering plant in the genus Sphaeranthus family. In Sanskrit, it is recognised by many names like "Tapaswini", "Mahamundi Aruna", "Nilak Dambika", etc.
Gorakhmundi is called Sphaeranthus indicus Linn. in science, and "East Indian globe thistle" in English. Gorakhmundi is a fragrant herb that grows all over India, but there is a lot of it in the south.

Health benefits of Gorakhmundi
